EMC is the leading electronic music industry event in the Asia Pacific region. Held in Sydney, it is a pivotal, annual destination event for Australian and international creative professionals, curators and tastemakers, and those that are passionate about electronic music business and culture.
By day, EMC offers a two day conference program which covers all facets of the electronic music business, from breakthroughs in technology, to action-focussed discussions around challenges faced by the industry and insights from electronic music’s biggest artists and leading business figures. By night, EMCPlay hosts a number of parties and showcases around Sydney.
The EMC conference program features over 180 speakers across over 40 keynotes, business focussed sessions and panels, workshops, masterclasses, networking events, meetings and industry roundtables. EMC’s content streams include Marketing, Business, Culture, Performance and even Politics.
In 2016, EMCPlay – a series of after dark parties – will showcase the most revered artists of the year as well the electronic stars of tomorrow over one big night in Sydney on Wednesday November 30th.
The full EMC week schedule also includes the inthemix Awards, Australia’s annual electronic music awards night, which is celebrated over a gala dinner held in the ivy ballroom on Thursday December 1st. The week finishes on Friday December 2nd with Musica Copa, the annual Australian music industry soccer tournament that raises money for charity.
EMC takes place from Monday November 28 – Friday December 2 in Sydney.
EMC’s conference and the inthemix Awards takes place at the world renowned ivy complex. EMCPlay will be held at a number of venues in Sydney. Lineup and info on EMCPlay is announced from August. Musica Copa takes place at Kikoff Fraser Park, Marrickville.

Ticket options vary, depending on what type of conference ticket you purchase, (EMC ACADEMY, EMC PRO or EMC PREMIUM), and whether you want to attend one or two days of the conference, or if you just want to head out to enjoy the music at EMCPlay. Tickets start from $99 for the conference and the earlier you purchase, the less you’ll pay. Conference ticket types and prices are here.

Yes. You can upgrade at a later stage, pending availability, by paying the difference between the cost of a 1 day and 2 day pass, plus a $15 registration transfer fee. Click here further information on ticket upgrades.

Yes. As an EMC conference ticket holder, you will receive a login to access the EMC online networking database, which will allow you to contact any other delegate attending EMC.
Yes. There are a number of networking events that happen across the week of EMC, including the opening night party, as well as other networking events hosted around the ivy complex daily. Late afternoon on the conference days it’s all about being poolside where a number of networking happens over some cold refreshing summer drinks!
No. You will need to book your own travel and accommodation if you are coming from outside of Sydney.
