What is EMC?

EMC is the leading electronic music industry event in the Asia Pacific region. Held in Sydney, it is a pivotal, annual destination event for Australian and international creative professionals, curators and tastemakers, and those that are passionate about electronic music business and culture.

By day, EMC offers a two day conference program which covers all facets of the electronic music business, from breakthroughs in technology, to action-focussed discussions around challenges faced by the industry and insights from electronic music’s biggest artists and leading business figures. By night, EMCPlay hosts a number of parties and showcases around Sydney.

In 2017, EMCPlay – a series of after dark parties – will showcase the most revered artists of the year as well the electronic stars of tomorrow over two nights in Sydney on Wednesday 29 November and Thursday 30 November.

The full EMC week schedule also includes Global Cities After Dark – an invite only, one-day forum which focusses on night time culture and economy from a global perspective. Presented via the partnership of EMC and Mirik Milan, Night Mayor Amsterdam, Global Cities After Dark is held on Tuesday 28 November. EMC week closes off with Musica Copa, an industry soccer tournament which sees Australia’s labels, agencies, streaming platforms, publishers and media outlets forming teams to play each other in the name of charity.
