Director S.A.S.H, Solid Circles Touring Agent
From humble beginnings at the Chapel Bar in Islington (London), ‘Pulp Sessions’ in its first incarnation was born. The concept was simple; unearthing fresh dj talent and putting on quality events showcasing the latest electronic sounds in non-pretentious surrounds. Following the evolution, Pulp Sessions held residencies at two key landmarks in London’s underground, The Egg and the legendary Basement at Retox.
Following this period, a small brand entitled ‘S.A.S.H’ was christened. It was not till later down the track the brand would make a comeback and do so in a MASSIVE way, in a completely different country.
Following the pilgrimage route from island to island, Kerry called Ibiza home for some time, quickly establishing himself as a purveyor of underground house music, locking in residencies at EsVive and Itica rooftop. His ‘deep and bouncy’ stripped-down tech house gathered up crowds and began moving them to his groove along with a myriad of gigs around the Spanish island.
It was not till 2011 that the ‘S.A.S.H’ brand reared its horse head again, in Sydney Australia of all places, and has only been growing exponentially over the last three years with Kerry Wallace at the helm.
Now Sydney’s premiere Sunday day event, S.A.S.H carried the same ideology as Pulp Session, but on a much bigger scale. Over the past three years it has become a staple of Sydney’s scene, continuously pushing the envelope week in, week out.
Over this period, hosting a guest list which speaks for itself; Alex Niggemann, Axel Boman, Bjorn Wilke, Dixon, dOP, Heidi, Ian Pooley, INXEC, Jay Shepheard, jozif, Kollektiv Turmstrasse, Nico Stojan, Robert Babicz, Ryan Elliot among countless others with support from Australia’s most decorated talents.
S.A.S.H continuously packs out its weekly event with dedicated revellers flocking through its doors in full expectation of nothing best the good vibes, quality tunes and best crowd Sydney has to offer and never being disappointed. All this amongst the sunny open air terrace of The Flyover in the warm Australian sun.
Alongside his weekly duties of promoter, touring agent and sets for S.A.S.H, Kerry also holds residency at the infamous institution of Chinese Laundry as well as frequent bookings for events like Subsonic Music Festival and Future Music Festival (Cocoon Stage) alongside guest’s the likes of Sven Vath, Maya Jane Coles and Guy Gerber.
Earlier this year Sydney’s favourite Sunday night revelers, the S.A.S.H crew, embarked on month long tour of Europe’s best clubs booked entirely without an agent. This session explores how through an intimate conversation with S.A.S.H’s four residents and some key players who helped guide them along the way.
