About

Emily is an experienced Producer in the music and media industries. Her heritage is Birri Gubba (North Queensland), Ugar Island (Torres Strait) and Welsh from her father’s side and Dutch and English from her mother’s side. She draws from this heritage and applies her passion for creating change for First Nations peoples to her roles as a digital producer for NITV, a freelance journalist with published features in The Guardian, SBS Life and Time Out and her curatorial work. Emily is a curator for Spotify’s Blak Australia and more recently she was curator for TikTok’s #AlwaysWasAlwaysWillBe music and performance program for NAIDOC week. She is also a board member for MusicNSW.

The landscape we are all traversing together is without precedent, and with this in mind I’m excited to be exchanging ideas and contributing to EMC through this advisory board. Moving into 2021, I look forward to assisting EMC in sustaining the core vision of serving and elevating the electronic music community.
