About

NIDALA is a musician, Indigenous activist and sustainability educator from the Djugun [ju-g-oon] people of the West Kimberley. Whether it be through her music, workshops or advocacy, her work dedicates itself to reconciling connections and accepting shared responsibility. Last year she recorded and self-published a carbon-positive EP, Colours of my People, which has facilitated the planting of over a thousand trees on female owned farms, with a further 1400 expected in the next year. She currently sits on the board for Green Music Australia, The Retuning and Refugia ltd – and is this year’s recipient of the Emerging Environmental Songwriter Award.
