Background

About

Andrew is an artist manager, record label executive and music, youth and technology strategist with over 20 years’ experience in the music industry with a background in advertising. With his clients he has led the music industry with climate and social good initiatives, including the first ever ‘carbon positive’ tour as certified by the United Nations, the first ever carbon drawdown tour in partnership with CHOOOSE, and raised funds for not-for-profits such as The Climate Reality Project, American Red Cross and F*ck Cancer.

He is the Director of Milton Archer – an artist management company that represents streaming giant Matoma, breakout artist BAYNK, developing multimedia project FRND, and inimitable singer/songwriter Meg Mac.

He is also the Founder/Director of new record label Avoca Drive, in joint venture partnership with Sony Music Entertainment Australia.

Jackson recently produced the acclaimed feature documentary ‘Matoma: One In A Million’, reaching #1 on the iTunes Documentary charts. He has been invited to speak at SXSW in Austin TX, Billboard Live Music Summit Los Angeles CA, EMC in Sydney and Music Matters in Mumbai.

Earlier in his career, he co-created releases that have sold over 2.5 million records in Australia in his time as A&R and General Manager for the Ministry of Sound business, and signed acts like Mylo, The Knife, Two Door Cinema Club and PNAU to his boutique imprint etcetc Music, through Universal Music Australia.



EMC’s stewardship of electronic music culture in Australia and abroad is vital now more than ever as we all rebuild a more culturally-rich, diverse, connected, sustainable and equitably prosperous dance music community. I’m honoured to join the EMC Advisory Board in such esteemed company, and play a contributing role to a community and scene I’ve been so closely connected with for decades.
